Explore the Parian Nature with the Donkey Tour to the valley with the butterflies from mid-May to September.
Our Donkey Tour will lead you from the area of Kakapetra (just behind the main town of Paroikia) to the popular Butterfly valley, otherwise known as “petaloudes” (in Greek), which is located at a distance of 5 kilometers towards the south of Parοikia. During the summer season the Butterfly Valley is full of Jersey Tiger Moths, creating an unusual but very beautiful phenomenon. This Totally Natural Park is full of different trees and Wild Plants. At the Cosy café, you can relax and enjoy the Fresh Air, beverages or soft drinks. Our tour starts from the town of Paroikia, then passes by the large, beautiful monastery of Agios Arsenios and ends at the Butterfly Valley. (There is a 2 Euros entrance fee for the Valley).
This tour lasts 3 hours with 2 time period schedule, at 09:00 to 12:00 or 17:00 to 20:00.
